Beyond Broadcast participatory culture con in Boston, May 12/13: "Cory Doctorow: On May 12/13, Boston's Berkman Center will host a conference called 'Beyond Broadcast: Reinventing Public Media in a Participatory Culture.' It's an open convening for public broadcasters, social media makers, and technology developers to discuss, debate, and demonstrate the future of public media.' Now that the BBC has taken the lead in reinventing what it means to be a public service media company, the US public media folks are trying to figure it out too.
